But if a song called 'Oops... I did it again' can make it into the charts then that begs the question, do we really pay much attention to the lyrics nowadays? In French, for example, I would argue that the lyrics are often more important than the melody, although it must be said that this is not always a good thing (cough*Renaud*cough).
